Converting precious water into food.
What is Booth Ag?
Booth Ag is a family farm producing high value food crops for clients ranging from manufacturing, the seed industry, milling and direct food production.
Commodity scale and expanding with a great team of smart people, Booth Ag runs a diversified cropping program and we grow the following produce:
> Popcorn
> Maize
> Sweetcorn
> Potatoes + Potatoes + Potatoes + Potatoes !!
> Adzuki Beans
> Wheat
> Chickpeas
> Canola (commercial & seed)
> Sorghum (commercial & seed)
> Lupins
Livestock is weaved into the cropping system to assist with soil health and to reduce waste crop products which might be out of spec for our clients.
What’s next?
As at December 2025, we are exploring new cropping options, such as onions and other vegetables.
If you have a crop that you would love grown by us, please give us a call or arrange a time to meet with us in the farm office, have a cuppa and we can show you our forecast cropping programs for the next few years, and see if we can make room in one of the 17 centre pivots for your requirements.
On-farm storage is the focus for 2026 and beyond - if we can create our own nursery, commercial production, wash plant, storage (including refrigerated storage) it enables us to create a workplace where we can try and focus the workload during the week-days and enable our employees and contractors to spend time with their families on the weekends. We are not there yet (and maybe this goal is an impossible dream…) however we are very fortunate to be supported by an excellent transport and logistics company and we can see there is a need to become a self-sufficient as possible.
As the ‘energy revolution’ continues to roll on, we are planning to create self-sufficiency in our energy production, storage and consumption processes. Not only to preserve reliability of supply, but also to assist with managing the increasingly expensive energy market. We are very grateful to be advised by Ben & Noah at https://divelec.com.au/solar-electrical-services-dubbo/ who are leading the way in this area.
As we (Matt & Brendo) head into our mid 40’s, and enjoy the benefit of Rolf’s wisdom and the youthful vigour of Kyle & Matthew + the teams of backpackers - we can see the future for Australian Agriculture is a bright one.
Lots of hard work (both in the paddock or in the office…), but we know it is a serious privilege to work with people, to be a small part of feeding the nation (and beyond!).
We might see you in Geurie!
